Out of District Request

Meriden Public Schools considers requests for elementary and middle school students to receive out-of-district placement at a school other than the student's home-based school. Please note that decisions regarding these placements will be considered if seats are available, requests do not guarantee placement at the requested school, and transportation is not provided to out-of-district students.

To complete an out-of-district request for your elementary or middle school student, please select the student's home-based school, provide the student's PowerSchool ID#, and select the School Year you are applying to. If you are requesting placement for a new student or an incoming kindergarten student, the student must be registered with Central Registration before completing this request. Out-of-district requests for the 2026-2027 school year open on April 6, 2026, and close on August 3, 2026. Decisions will be made in mid-August.
